Hi! My name is Mustafa Arif.
I work as a freelance business and technology consultant. If you are interested in working with me you can consult my LinkedIn profile.
I am also a postgraduate student at University College London. I am studying for an MSc in Spacecraft Technology & Satellite Communications, a programme offered jointly by the Departments of Space & Climate Physics (aka Mullard Space Science Laboratory) and Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
I was previously a student at Imperial College, London where I graduated, in 2003, in Information Systems Engineering (ISE), a single honours course run jointly by the Departments of Computing and Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
After graduating I took a sabbatical year out as President of Imperial College Union and re-elected to serve a second term until 31 July 2005. I had been involved in the Union since my first year, most notably as President of the City & Guilds College Union in 2001-2002.
I also have an amateur interest in “journalism”, having helped found Live!, one of the most widely read online student publication in the University of London. I remain a (very occasional) developer.
Companies I’ve worked for
- Genie, the mobile internet division
of mmO2 (which was the wireless arm of BT, prior to demerger). - Netdecisions, where I
worked on a project for Marconi. - Logica, where I worked on projects
for:- Thus (formerly Scottish Telecom),
- Energis,
- Orange,
- Colt Telecom,
- Nortel Networks and
- Sonera (formerly Tele Finland).
